Customer Experience (CX) has become the battleground for businesses as they try to be distinctive from the competition, acquire new customers, increase ASV and lifetime value of customers, and build greater customer loyalty and advocacy – all in an effort to grow revenues.
The class is a hands-on lab where the students put their acquired knowledge, insights and skills to work on real projects for businesses in various industries. They take on a project, meet with the brand to work through the discovery phase, then ideate, prototype, experiment, measure, iterate, and deliver the final recommendation.
If you're interested, you can expand to learn more and to find the Professors email to get coordinate your own project!
Some past projects include:
A national auto brand: design a new system for launching internal sales products to drive greater product adoption and increase sales
A national airline: design the pre-airport customer experience to prime guests for their flight and build loyalty
A global retail brand: design new in-store experiences and online marketing to increase awareness and repeat purchases.
A medical service provider: re-imagine patient experience at medical centers; create process for medical staff to deliver new patient experiences.
A national car wash brand: evolve the customer entry experience to increase through-put volume and customer NPS; improve the post-wash experience to help increase customer sales frequency and retention.
A technology services firm: create new employee experience journey to decrease time of onboarding while increasing employee sentiment of the firm and retention rates.
What the students will learn:
Real world skills and experience on project management and pitching ideas to a manager or client.
How to identify the value proposition of their work and how it will help the business objectives and outcomes.
How to tell a story with their ideas and recommendations.
This class is taught by adjunct professor Ben Rabner. Email him if you are interested in submitting a project for the class to work on: ben.rabner@byu.edu
